Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Ridgeline Dodge City Concrete website and any concrete work you ask us to quote or do. When you use the site, call us or book a job, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

If you and we sign a written estimate or agreement for a specific job, that document wins wherever it differs from these terms. It's written for your job, and these terms are written for everyone.

What we do

Ridgeline Dodge City Concrete is a concrete contractor in Dodge City, KS. We pour driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, foundations and other concrete work, and you'll find each service described from our home page. You can read more about who we are on our About page.

What the site says about concrete work is general information about how jobs usually go. It isn't a promise about your job, because every property has its own soil, drainage and access, and we only know those once we've seen it.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free, we give them after seeing your property, and you're under no obligation to hire us. Your estimate is based on what we can see that day, and it holds for the time written on it.

Some things can't be known until the old slab is out or the ground is dug, like soft subgrade, which is the ground the new concrete sits on, buried roots, old concrete or hidden lines. If we find something that changes the work, we'll stop, show you and agree on the change and its cost in writing before we go ahead.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We set pour dates around the weather, because rain, freezing temperatures or hard heat can leave concrete weak, so your date can move. We'll tell you as soon as we know, and delays from weather, material supply, permits or anything else outside our control don't break our agreement.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call (620) 390-0780 or reach us through our Contact page as early as you can. Once forms are set, materials are ordered or a concrete truck is booked, you may be charged for costs we can't get back.

What we ask of you

Please give our crew clear access to the work area and tell us about anything buried that we wouldn't know about, like sprinkler lines, drain pipes or private wiring. We aren't responsible for damage to buried items nobody told us about.

New concrete needs time to cure, which means it keeps hardening for days after the pour, so stay off it and keep vehicles off it for as long as we tell you. Damage from using the slab early isn't covered by any warranty.

Payment

Your written estimate or agreement sets out any deposit, when the balance is due and the ways you can pay. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.

If a balance goes unpaid past its due date, we may use the collection remedies Kansas law allows, which can include a lien on the property where we did the work. We'd much rather talk it through first, so call us if a payment is going to be late.

Warranty and what concrete does on its own

We stand behind our work, and any written warranty for your job will be in your agreement, saying what it covers and for how long. Beyond that written warranty, our work and this website are provided as is, with no other warranties, to the extent Kansas law allows.

Concrete can get fine hairline cracks as it cures and ages even when it's done right, which is why we cut control joints, grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack. Hairline cracks, small color differences between pours, and damage from ground movement, de-icing salt, loads heavier than the slab was built for or other things outside our control aren't defects in our work.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Ridgeline Dodge City Concrete isn't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, like lost use of your property, lost income or the cost of other contractors. Our total liability for any job is limited to what you paid us for that job.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that Kansas law doesn't allow us to limit.

Settling a disagreement

If something isn't right, call us first, because most problems get sorted out by looking at the work together. If we still can't agree, we'll both try to settle it in good faith, and either side may suggest a neutral mediator before going to court.

Any lawsuit that does come from these terms or our work will be brought in the courts that serve Dodge City, Kansas.

Governing law

These terms, your use of this site and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time and post the new version on this page. The version posted when you use the site or sign your agreement is the one that applies.

If you have a question about anything here, reach us through our Contact page or call (620) 390-0780.
